Future-proof investments with ISO 15118
Fully prepared for use with the ISO 15118 standards, such as Plug and Charge, V2H , and V2G. Since the standard is still in the testing and development phase for most manufacturers, these features will be gradually enabled on our Pico via firmware updates.

Enables automatic vehicle authentication and the start of the charging process without the need for RFID cards, apps, or other devices.
V2H - Vehicle to Home
The car serves as a home battery and charges and discharges via the standardized interface between the vehicle and the charging station.
V2G - Vehicle-to-Grid

What is a smart wallbox?
A smart wallbox is an intelligent charging station for electric vehicles. It not only enables charging, but also allows for the collection of consumption data, the control of charging power, and integration with billing systems.
For which applications is the Pico charging station suitable?
The Pico charging station is specifically designed to be ideal for use in apartment buildings, condominiums, commercial properties, and public parking lots in the municipality or in parking garages.
Which electric vehicles can be charged using the charging station?
The charging station is compatible with all electric vehicles equipped with a Type 2 plug. This is the European standard for charging electric cars.
How does billing work for tenants, external users, or in a (v)CSC?
Billing is automated. The consumption for each charging session is accurately recorded. For tenants, the charging cost can be added directly to the utility bill or to a separate invoice. External users pay via an integrated backend (e.g., eCarUp) using common payment methods, and the process is fully automated. The Pico charging station features an integrated meter certified for MID and CH load profile standards. This allows the charging current to be accurately recorded and directly assigned to a specific user in the (v)CSC billing system.
Can the charging station control the charging power?
Yes, the charging power is intelligently controlled via the smart-me cloud. This enables efficient load management that prevents overloading of the power grid and optimizes the use of self-generated electricity, such as from a photovoltaic system.
Does the " Pico" charging station require additional protection?
No, the Pico has built-in fault protection devices rated at 30 mA AC (in accordance with IEC 60947-2) and 6 mA DC (in accordance with IEC 62955) and can therefore be installed without additional ground-fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) protection.
Is it easy to install a Pico charging station?
Yes, installation is done using an intuitive backplate system. smart-me also offers mounting feet in various configurations, so the Pico can be used anywhere. Any electrical contractor can install and connect the Pico .
Can Pico charging stations be billed publicly?
Yes, the Pico charging station is designed for public billing. With an IP55 protection rating, it is suitable for outdoor use, and the large display guides drivers through the activation process. Billing for public users is fully automated via connected backends such as eCarUp, which support various payment methods and process payments automatically.
