What amounts of electricity can the smart-me meters measure?
Virtually all of them. Direct measurements are possible up to 80 A (Telstar) or 100 A (Nimbus). Using a current transformer, even very high energy flows (current transformer ratio adjustable) can be measured with precision.
What kind of data do smart-me meters transmit?
The data can be transmitted in real time. This allows users to see live how much energy is being consumed.
Do smart-me meters fit into any electrical distribution panel?
Yes, there are different formats available specifically for this purpose. The space-saving DIN-rail devices are particularly well-suited for new construction. The 3-point meter fits into existing meter spaces in older buildings, so no unnecessary remodeling is required.
What does "MID certified" mean, and why is it important?
In order for a meter to be authorized to measure electricity, it must meet strict accuracy and quality standards. MID certification is a government inspection conducted by the METAS and guarantees that smart-me meters meet these requirements.
smart-me The meters also have what is known as “load profile certification” for Switzerland. This guarantees that the meters measure accurately at every 15-minute interval. This is particularly important in the “ CSC ” so that solar power can be distributed correctly among the various parties.
Do I need an additional gateway or data logger for the smart-me meter?
No, smart-me meters have a built-in Wi-Fi interface and therefore communicate directly with the cloud without the need for additional hardware.
What happens if the Internet connection (Wi-Fi) is interrupted?
smart-me meters have local storage for meter readings. As soon as the Internet connection is restored, the data is uploaded to the cloud, and billing can be carried out without interruption.
