Sales Manager Western Switzerland (f/m/d), Field Sales, 80-100%

smart-me is a leader in smart energy, specializing in intelligent energy management in buildings. Our self-developed, intelligent metering devices (meters & charging stations) enable comprehensive billing and control solutions for electricity, water and heat via the smart-me Cloud. Together with our subsidiary eCarUp, which specializes in EV charging station management, we are revolutionizing energy technology and sustainably driving the energy transition forward through our daily work.


Your responsibilities
  • You are the first point of contact for our B2B customers in the French-speaking part of Switzerland (via phone, email, and online meetings) and handle all incoming inquiries professionally;
  • You analyze customer needs and consistently categorize inquiries into S, M, or L leads to allocate resources efficiently;
  • You maintain and expand our existing customer and partner network in the energy sector, partly through on-site visits (approx. 50% travel);
  • You independently prepare offers, conduct consultations, and close deals;
  • You support customers with technical questions and set up initial configurations to define the best solution for standard needs;
  • From ongoing customer interactions, you generate new leads and actively identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling across our business areas;
  • You ensure that customer data and sales opportunities are always kept up to date and well-maintained in our system.

 

Your profile
  • You have completed a commercial or technical apprenticeship. Ideally, you have complemented this with further education (e.g., technical business specialist) or bring solid technical understanding as a career changer;
  • You have a flair for selling technical products. You enjoy daily customer interaction and have the drive and persistence to actively follow up on offers and close deals;
  • You work very independently, proactively identify sales opportunities, and like taking responsibility for your own offers and results;
  • You are comfortable working with digital systems (CRM, etc.) and have a structured way of working;
  • You communicate fluently and confidently in French. Additional language skills in German or English are a plus but not required;
  • Initial experience in a similar role (inside sales, telesales, customer service) or in project business is an advantage;
  • Basic knowledge in energy management, e-mobility, or building technology is also a plus.
