A smart wallbox is an intelligent charging station for electric vehicles. It not only enables charging, but also the recording of consumption data, control of charging power and connection to billing systems.

The Pico charging station has been deliberately designed to be ideal for use in apartment buildings, condominiums, commercial properties and public car parks in the community or in multi-storey car parks.
Which electric vehicles can be charged using the charging station?
The charging station is compatible with all electric vehicles that have a Type 2 plug. This is the European standard for charging electric cars.
Can the charging station control the charging power?
Yes, the charging power is intelligently controlled via the smart-me Cloud. This enables efficient load management, which prevents overloading of the power grid and optimises the use of self-generated electricity, for example from a photovoltaic system.
Does the Pico charging station require additional protection?
No, Pico has integrated fault protection devices 30mA AC according to IEC60947-2 and 6mA DC IEC62955 and can therefore be installed without additional RCD protection.
Is it easy to install a Pico charging station?
Yes, installation is carried out using an intuitive backplate system. smart-me also offers stands in various configurations so that the Pico can be used anywhere. Any electrical installation company can install and connect the Pico.
Can Pico charging stations be billed publicly?
Yes, the Pico charging station is designed for public billing. With protection class IP55, it is suitable for outdoor use, and the large display guides drivers through the activation process. Billing for public users is fully automated via connected backends such as eCarUp, which support various payment methods and bill automatically.
