Reference: Pico- AET Installation

Azienda Elettrica Ticinese (AET), on behalf of the Canton of Ticino, has installed a charging park with approximately 50 charging points at an administrative building in Bellinzona using smart-me technology. The Pico charging stations used combine multi-stage load management, ease of use, and comprehensive analytics based on certified real-time data.

At the heart of the installation is the smart-me multilevel load management, which allows the Pico charging stations to intelligently distribute power at all times within their own group (even if the internet connection fails). In addition, the control system takes into account the power consumption of the fast-charging station connected to the same outlet as well as the energy produced by the solar system, and efficiently prioritizes the available energy at all times.

Highlights:

The 46 " Pico" charging stations communicate with the smart-me cloud in real time via the integrated SIM card—free of charge and without any additional operating costs. From there, they can be conveniently configured and comprehensively managed right from your office chair:

• Setting up the charging stations, including display design
• Configuring Multilevel Load Management
• Real-time and historical data access to usage, transactions, and event logs
• Link to other measurements from the building

In addition, AET integrates the " Pico" stations in Bellinzona into the eCarUp backendand can analyze the charging history for each vehicle in detail there.

Easy Maintenance

Thanks to the built-in service door, the legs are particularly easy to maintain and allow for quick access during service work or any necessary repairs.

Minimal installation effort

The stations can be easily accessed from below through the foundation and quickly wired using a pre-installed terminal block.

Monitoring

Thanks to monitoring using smart-me technology (Telstar), the collected real-time data is not only made available for load management; detailed information can also be automatically generated via the smart-me portal. Among other things, this enables the creation of an automated energy cost statement that transparently shows consumption under various rate plans (e.g., high-voltage/low-voltage solar rate). This means that charging station operators always have both revenue figures and actual energy costs available for cost reporting and have full control over the system’s cost-effectiveness.
